The Principal Clarinet of the Tonhalle Orchester Zürick and a teacher at the advanced and second level courses at the Fondazione Scuola di Musica di Fiesole. 

Former Principal Clarinet of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra of Amsterdam (2015-2024), of the Orchestra del Teatro dell’Opera di Roma (1997-2008/2012-2014), of the Orchestre National de France (2008-2011) and of the Orchestra del Teatro V. Bellini of Catania (1993-1996). A long orchestral experience performing on the most important stages of Europe, Asia, Africa, America and rich in collaborations with prestigious conductors such as Kurt Masur, Mariss Jansons, Valery Gergiev, Sir Colin Davis, Yuri Temirkanov, Daniele Gatti, Herbert Blomstedt, John Eliot Gardiner, Klaus Mākelā, Paavo Jārvi, Fabio Luisi, Daniel Harding, Andris Nelsons, Iván Fischer, Neemi Järvi, Semën Byčkov, Charles Dutoit and Riccardo Muti. 

Winner of the International Jeunesses Musicales Competition in Bucharest and of many other prizes in the most important Italian Clarinet Competitions, he has an intense solo career that has seen him performing with many orchestras such as Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, Amsterdam Sinfonietta, Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra, North Czech Philharmonic, Orchestra Sinfonica LaVerdi di Milano. Since many years he is member of the Quintetto di fiati Santa Cecilia - Tonhalle. 

His repertoire, ranging from Mozart to the contemporary, also includes authors who have composed pieces dedicated: Nunzio ortolano, Luis Bacalov, Renato Chiesa, Claudio Cimpanelli and Antonio Fraioli. 

He has recorded for B.M.G. Ricordi, Riverberi Sonori, Fonè, Accord for music-Roma, Trio Zecchini, Wicky Edition, Cristal Records, Gutman Records, Brilliant Classics, BIS Record, Cypres Records e A.I.C. Many of his solist performances have been broadcast by various radio and television stations: RAI, Vatican Radio, Romanian National Television, Radio Clásica RNE, Radio France, RadioTre, France Musique, RaiTrade, NPO Radio 4, Mezzo and Arte. 

He dedicates himself with particular passion to teaching activities that sees him involved in numerous Masterclasses both in Italian and International Conservatories. He is regularly invited to the annual courses of the Accademia Scatola Sonora in Rome and
to the summer courses of Encuentro de Musica de Santander Music, Ticino Musica and Musica Riva Festival.
He is the author of the didactic text Soli d'orchestra for clarinet with piano accompaniment published by Riverberi Sonori. Calogero Palermo is an artist Buffet Crampon, A. Licostini and D'Addario Woodwinds.

After winning the ARD Competition in 2014 and receiving the Crédit Suisse Young Artist Award in 2016, Simone Rubino has performed as a soloist with the Wiener Philharmoniker, the Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks, the Orchestra dell'Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, the HR-Sinfonieorchester, the Deutschen Symphonie-Orchester Berlin, the Münchner Philharmoniker, the NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchester, the SWR Symphonieorchester, the Konzerthausorchester Berlin, the Kammerakademie Potsdam, the Orchestra del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, the Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale della Rai, the Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra and the Orchestre Philharmonique de Monte-Carlo, under the baton of conductors such as Zubin Mehta, Gustavo Gimeno, Tugan Sokhiev, Manfred Honeck, Tan Dun, Michael Sanderling, Antonello Manacorda, Kristian Järvi, Elim Chan, Maxime Pascal and Francesco Angelico. Since 2016 he has been collaborating regularly with Maestro Tan Dun, performing on several tours in China (Shanghai–Beijing–Xiamen), Poland and Italy. In 2018 he was Artist in Residence with the BR Münchner Rundfunkorchester, and in 2020 with the Filarmonica Arturo Toscanini in Parma. Simone Rubino is a regular guest at festivals such as the Lucerne Festival, the Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival, the Rheingau Musik Festival, the Heidelberger Frühling, the Bach Festival in Leipzig, the Bologna Festival, the Czech Chamber Music Society, Musical Olympus in Russia and La Folle Journée (both in France and Japan). From 2019 to 2023 Simone Rubino was Professor of Percussion at the Haute École de Musique de Lausanne, and from April 2023 he became Professor of Percussion at the University of the Arts Berlin (UdK). Among his recent and upcoming engagements are a concert at the Stresa Festival, the opening concert of the forthcoming season of La Toscanini in Parma in October 2025, participation in the Festival Suoni Riflessi, a collaboration with philosopher Umberto Galimberti at Fasano Musica, and two international concerts in which he will appear as soloist and conductor alongside the BR Münchner Rundfunkorchester, followed by a guest appearance at the Czech Chamber Music Society in Prague. From 2025, Simone Rubino is also Artistic Director of the Fasano Musica Festival in Italy.

The Sarahbanda is a unique ensemble born from the innovative vision of Sarah Willis – world-renowned French horn player and passionate salsa dancer. The inspiration for the band grew out of her successful project Mozart y Mambo with the Havana Lyceum Orchestra, which blends the music of W.A. Mozart with Cuban rhythms. This creative experiment not only led to the recording of all of Mozart’s horn concertos in a fresh, Cuban-inspired style, but also marked the first time the classical horn was integrated into a traditional Cuban band.

The joy Sarah Willis experienced while playing Cuban dance music ultimately led to the founding of the Sarahbanda. Although the horn is not a traditional instrument in Cuban ensembles, she boldly took the leap, bringing together a group of outstanding Cuban musicians to merge the vibrant rhythms of Cuba with the sound of the horn. With the Sarahbanda, Sarah was able to take her passion for Cuban music and dance to a whole new level.

Early works by the Sarahbanda were already featured on the Mozart y Mambo albums. In September 2024, the band released its debut album. The Sarahbanda explores the rich variety of popular Cuban dance rhythms, incorporating the horn into captivating new arrangements by band members and close collaborators such as Jorge Aragón and Edgar Olivero. Classics like Chan Chan, Sandungera, and Contigo en la Distancia are reimagined in fresh interpretations that remain true to Cuban tradition while also evolving it. Original compositions, f.e. by Yuniet Lombida, further enrich the ensemble’s repertoire.

The Sarahbanda has been invited to perform at many internationally renowned festivals and concert series, including the Lucerne Festival, Rheingau Festival, Berlin Philharmonie, Nikolaisaal Potsdam, Società Filarmonica Trento, and Schloss Elmau. In autumn 2025, their second album Cuban Christmas will be released by Deutsche Grammophon.

The Sarahbanda represents an electrifying fusion of classical music and Cuban rhythms – offering an unforgettable listening experience that brings cultures and traditions together.

A rapidly rising presence in the European and American music world, violinist Andrea Cicalese, born in Naples in 2005, possesses, despite his young age, a "musical maturity that most artists struggle to achieve even after decades" (SZ) and a "breathtakingly fluid technical mastery" (AZ).

Andrea has performed to great acclaim from audiences and critics in some of the most prestigious concert halls in Germany, Italy, France, Spain, Austria, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, Sweden, Lebanon, and the United States (including the Berlin Philharmonic, the Tonhalle Zurich, the Kleinhans Music Hall in Buffalo, the RAI Auditorium in Turin, the Gasteig, the Herkulessaal, the Isarphilharmonie, and the Prinzregententheater in Munich).

As a soloist, he has worked with some of the world's most prestigious conductors, including Hannu Lintu, JoAnn Falletta, George Pelhivanian, Jaume Santonja, and Joseph Bastian, and has collaborated with leading orchestras such as the RAI National Symphony Orchestra, the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, the Munich Symphoniker, the Baden-Baden Symphoniker, and the Arturo Toscanini Philharmonic.

A passionate and dynamic chamber musician, Andrea Cicalese has collaborated with pianists such as Beatrice Rana, Alexander Malofeev, Yekwon Sunwoo, Eric Lu, Filippo Gorini, and Julien Quentin, and with cellist Jan Vogler, harpist Xavier de Maistre, and accordionists Martynas and Antonio Del Castillo.

In a very short space of time, the young violinist has become a regular at prestigious music festivals such as the Rheingau Music Festival, the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival, the Dvroak International Music Festival in Prague, the Al Bustan Festival in Beirut, the Ravello Festival, and the Lerici Music Festival. Chamber music engagements for the 2024/25 season include "I Concerti del Quirinale" in Rome, the "Serie Jeune" of the Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich, the "Aspect Concert Series" in New York, and the seasons of the Konzertdirektion Hörtnagel and München Musik in Munich.

Andrea Cicalese studied with Josef Rissin at the University of Music in Karlsruhe. He plays a Guarneri "Del Gesù" (Cremona, 1731), the loan of which was made possible thanks to Music Masterpieces SA - Lugano (CH) as part of the cultural and philanthropic initiative “Adopt a musician".

Sicilian cellist and composer Alessio Pianelli stands out for his strong communicative power, natural breathing, poignant lyricism, virtuosity, and expressive authenticity.

He studied with G. Sollima, M. Brunello, and T. Demenga, and soon embarked on an international career, performing as a soloist with the Sinfonieorchester Basel, the Orquesta da Camera de Chile, and the RAI National Symphony Orchestra of Turin, performing his music in historic and prestigious venues such as the Walt Disney Hall in Los Angeles, the Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome, and the Phoenix Hall in Osaka.
A recipient of awards at the Antonio Janigro International Cello Competition, the B. Mazzacurati International Cello Competition, and the Borletti Buitoni Trust, Alessio has participated in major international chamber music festivals, including the Davos Festival, the Piatigorsky Festival in Los Angeles, and the Marlboro Festival.

He has recorded CDs for Sonzogno/Egea, Rubicon, Claves, and Almendra Music. His compositions appear in the catalogs of Casa Musicale Sonzogno in Milan and Mueller & Schade in Bern and have been recorded for the Seed Music, Almendra Music, and Decca labels.

Alessio teaches cello at the A. Scontrino Conservatory in Trapani and at the Avos Project in Rome.

Ludovico Mealli (Florence, 2000) graduated with honors in violin from the Cherubini Conservatory in Florence and earned a Master's Degree in 2024 from the Maderna Conservatory in Cesena. He also studied with Andrea Obiso at "Avos Project."

He has performed at important venues since a young age: Amici della Musica in Florence, the "Classiche Forme" Festival, Villa Pennisi in Musica, Amici della Musica in Trapani, Avos Project, the "Sesto Rocchi" Festival, and Rai Radio3.

He is a member of the Tharsos Trio.

He was artist in residence for the Società dei Concerti di Milano (2023-24). As a soloist, he has performed at the Teatro della Pergola, Teatro Verdi, and Teatro Niccolini (Florence), among others. He collaborates regularly with orchestras such as the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, and ORT.

She graduated from the Santa Cecilia Conservatory with honors and honorable mention under Maestro Luca Sanzò, and in chamber music at the Advanced Training Course at the Accademia di Santa Cecilia with Ivan Rabaglia.

She attended the viola course at the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia with Simone Briatore.

She has performed in numerous Italian musical venues, including as a soloist at the ViolaFest in Siena, the Amici della Musica in Ancona, the Teatro "Off Off," ArteScienza, and the "Assoli" series at the Accademia Filarmonica Romana.

Becoming passionate about contemporary music, she began studying it. She made her debut at the ArteScienza Festival with eViola, a piece by Silvia Lanzalone dedicated to her. She also participated in the Festival's presentation of "Codici a tratto," an exhibition of the adaptive sculptural-musical work by Licia Galizia and Michelangelo Lupone [music and pianos], a performance that led to a performance at the European Parliament in Strasbourg in February 2024.

Since 2019, she has been a member of the PMCE (Parco della Musica Contemporanea Ensemble), with which she has had the opportunity to perform with international artists such as Bryce Dessner and Katia and Marielle Labèque.

In 2020, she inaugurated the 105 "1:1 Concerts," conceived by cultural mediator Christian Siegmund, together with flutist Stephanie Winker, set designer Franziska Ritter, and architect Sophie von Mansberg. The concert format—as simple as it was moving—consisted of placing a spectator and a musician face-to-face, performing for fifteen minutes while gazing into each other's eyes, two meters apart. She has performed in numerous chamber music seasons, including the Rome Chamber Music Festival, the Accademia dei Cameristi di Bari, the IUC, I Tramonti di Tinia, and Villa Pennisi in Musica, collaborating with Robert McDuffie, David Romano, Alessio Pianelli, Massimo Spada, Salvatore Quaranta, Daniel Palmizio, Maurizio Baglini, Silvia Chiesa, Luigi Piovano, and Bruno Weinmeister.

She is a founding member of the Klem Quartet, with whom she attended the Quartetto Prometeo quartet course at the Avos Project Music School.

With the Klem Quartet, she won first prize at the 2023 "Pietro Marzani" competition, which led her to perform with the quartet in important concert seasons, including the Oratorio del Gonfalone, Musica con Le Ali, Giovani talenti dell'orchestra da camera di Perugia, Etruria Musica Festival, Amici della Musica di Firenze, Società del Quartetto di Vicenza, and the Associazione Filarmonica di Rovereto.

She has worked as principal viola with the Roma Tre Orchestra, the Benevento Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Orchestra of Padua and the Veneto, and as a solo viola with the Orchestra of the Accademia di Santa Cecilia, the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino Orchestra, the Perugia Chamber Orchestra, and I Solisti Aquilani.

In October 2025, she won the Principal Viola Competition with the Orchestra of Padua and the Veneto.

Massimo Spada, born in Rome in 1986, began his piano studies at the age of six and graduated with honours at Conservatorio Santa Cecilia in Rome in 2005, in the class of Pieralberto Biondi. He also studied with Boris Petrushansky, Riccardo Risaliti, Benedetto Lupo and Stefano Fiuzzi, Lazar Berman, Elissò Virsaladze, Joaquin Soriano and Andrea Lucchesini.

In 2009 he achieved his degree with honours in Music History at the Università La Sapienza in Rome. 
He regularly performs solo recitals and chamber music concerts in duo and trio formations. Among the musicians with whom he collaborated there are Beatrice Rana, Andrea Obiso, Andrea Oliva, Roberto González-Monjas, Simone Lamsma, David and Diego Romano, to name just a few. His intense concert activity led him to perform in many venues and festivals in Italy and abroad, including Parco della Musica in Rome, Festival MiTo in Turin, Festival Internazionali per la Pace in Assisi, Sagra Malatestiana in Rimini, and for several prestigious concerts series in Venice, Padua, Bologna, Cuneo, Matera, La Spezia, Sulmona, Catania, Siracusa, Campobasso, Aosta.

He promotes contemporary music and often performs pieces dedicated to him. Since 2011 he is the pianist of Ensemble Novecento, conducted by Carlo Rizzari, with whom he promoted new music of emerging composers.

He was awarded a First Prize in many international competitions, including J. S. Bach Competition in Sestri Levante, Rospigliosi Competition in Lamporecchio, Premio Sergio Cafaro.Very active as a teacher, he is piano professor at Conservatorio Morlacchi in Perugia and he is one of the founders and artistic directors of the International Music School Avos Project, where he teaches from 2020.

Born in 1994, he won the competition for Violino di Spalla of the Orchestra dell'Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia at the beginning of the year. Recognized as an “enfant prodige,” he began studying violin and piano at age six and made his debut as a soloist with the Orchestra Sinfonica Siciliana at 12.

Winner of prestigious international competitions, including the “ARD International Violin Competition 2017” in Munich (with special prize for the best premiere), the Prix Ravel 2017 (1st Prize and Audience Prize), and 2nd Prize at the “XI A. Khachaturian International Violin Competition 2015.”

He debuted at the Berlin Philharmonie with the Deutsches Symphonie Orchester Berlin, at the Kremlin Palace with the Moscow Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra and Vladimir Spivakov, at the Shanghai Symphony Hall, and in Latin America. In 2017 he performed at the Herkulessaal and Gasteig in Munich with the Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks.

In 2019 he graduated from the prestigious “Curtis Institute Of Music” in Philadelphia with masters Aaron Rosand and Midori Goto. From 2005 to 2015 he studied at the Accademia Musicale Chigiana with Boris Belkin, continuing at the Maastricht Conservatory. At only fourteen years old, he graduated from the Palermo Conservatory with honorable mention.Andrea Obiso plays a “Giuseppe Guarneri del Gesù 1741” violin granted by NPO “Yellow Angel” and an “E. Pajeot” bow from “Nippon Violin Co. Ltd.” in Tokyo.

Renowned for her warm, effortless sound and captivating artistry, Sara Ferrández is rapidly establishing herself as one of the leading violists of her generation. She appears regularly as a soloist with major international orchestras and in recital worldwide. Recent debuts include the Konzerthausorchester Berlin, Orchestre Philharmonique de Marseille, Jyväskylä Sinfonia, National Symphony Orchestra of Costa Rica, Real Filharmonía de Galicia, and the Orquestra Simfònica de Balears. She has also performed with the Spanish National Symphony Orchestra, Barcelona Symphony Orchestra, RTVE Symphony Orchestra and the Orquesta Sinfónica del Principado de Asturias, where she has served as Artistic Partner since 2022.

A committed chamber musician, Ferrández has appeared at leading festivals such as Verbier Festival, Rheingau Musik Festival, Bergen International Festival, Festival de Pâques d’Aix-en-Provence, Pau Casals International Music Festival, and Jerusalem Chamber Music Festival, collaborating with artists including Janine Jansen, Beatrice Rana, Renaud Capuçon, Pablo Ferrández, and Anne-Sophie Mutter. She performs regularly with Mutter’s Virtuosi and joined the Orpheum Foundation from 2025.

Born in Madrid in 1995, Ferrández studied at the Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía, the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin, and the Kronberg Academy. She plays a 1730 David Tecchler viola and a Tourte bow, generously on loan from the Stretton Society.

Born in 1995 in a family of musicians, Ludovica started her soloist career at a young age, performing in recitals for prestigious concert societies, including Società dei Concerti di Milano, Cremona Mondo Musica, Fazioli Concert Hall, Accademia Filarmonica di Messina, Varignana Music Festival, I concerti del Quirinale, Festival Classiche Forme, as well as a soloist with many orchestras, such as Orchestra ICO di Lecce, Orchestra di Padova e del Veneto and Orchestra Sinfonica Siciliana. 

As a chamber musician, she had numerous collaborations with the sister Beatrice Rana, Enrico Dindo, Pablo Ferràndez, Giovanni Sollima, Bruno Giuranna, Oleg Kaskiv, Francesco Libetta, Massimo Quarta, Danilo Rossi, Alessandro Taverna, Pavel Vernikov.

After graduating with honors in 2014 at the Istituto Musicale “Giovanni Paisiello” in Taranto, in the class of Andrea Agostinelli, Ludovica continued her studies with Enrico Dindo at the Pavia Cello Academy and at the Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana in Lugano, where she achieved her Master in Music Performance, and with Giovanni Sollima at the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, where she graduated with honours. At the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia she also completed with honours the Chamber Music course with Carlo Fabiano.

She also studied with renowned cellists, such as Michael Flaksman, Johannes Goritzki, Antonio Meneses, Frans Helmerson, Antonio Mosca, Asier Polo, Troels Svane, Rafael Wallfish. 

Since 2024 she is the Artistic Director Festival di Pasqua in Lecce. She is Chamber Music professor at the Conservatoire “Niccolò Piccinni” in Bari.

Arianna Picci è una flautista italiana attiva nel panorama musicale europeo. Da gennaio ricopre il ruolo temporaneo di primo flauto presso l'Opernhaus Zürich. Dal 2025 frequenta il Maestro presso la Hochschule für Musik und Theatre “Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy” di Lipsia. Ha studiato al Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana con Andrea Oliva e si è formato presso il Conservatorio “Tito Schipa” di Lecce sotto la guida di Lucia Rizzello, parallelamente all’Accademia Pianistica Internazionale di Imola.

Ha maturato una solida esperienza orchestrale, ricoprendo incarichi temporanei come Stellvertretende Solo Flöte al Deutsches Nationaltheater und Staatskapelle Weimar; è stato inoltre membro dell'Accademia della Gewandhausorchester di Lipsia e ha collaborato con la European Union Youth Orchestra.

Vincitrice di importanti concorsi nazionali e internazionali, tra cui il Premio Nazionale delle Arti, il concorso Erik Satie di Lecce e il Gran Prix di Rho, si è esibita come solista con orchestra in diverse occasioni, collaborando con la Vivaldi Chamber Orchestra di Palmi e con l'orchestra Giulio Rusconi di Rho.

Fondato a Copenaghen nel 2018, il Novo Quartet è uno dei più promettenti giovani ensemble danesi. Con base a Vienna e Copenaghen, la formazione è costituita dai violinisti Kaya Kato Møller e Nikolai Vasili Nedergaard, dalla viola Daniel Śledziński e dalla violoncellista Signe Ebstrup Bitsch.Il Quartetto è stato premiato in vari concorsi internazionali e, recentemente, a settembre del 2023, ha ricevuto il primo premio e quattro premi speciali al Concorso di Ginevra. La formazione è promossa dalla Fondazione delle Arti Danese nel loro programma dedicato ai migliori Giovani Artisti per l'anno 2024. Il Novo Quartet è stato introdotto nel mondo della musica da camera grazie all'aiuto del Prof.Tim Frederiksen all'Accademia Reale di Musica Danese, che per quattro anni ha saputo infondere loro un profondo e significativo amore per il quartetto d'archi. Successivamente, il Novo Quartet è stato accolto all’Accademia Europea della musica da Camera di Vienna, seguendo gli insegnamenti del Prof. Johannes Meissl. Accanto a questi impegni formativi, il Quartetto  è orgoglioso di essere stato incluso nel programma Elite della Scuola normale di musica Alfred Cortot a Parigi. La formazione  ha potuto beneficiare  altresì dei consigli di alcuni celebri artisti dei Quartetti Alban Berg, Artemis, Modigliani e Dutch String Quartet. Il Novo quartet si è esibito in Cina, negli USA e dalla Svizzera alla Groenlandia. Molte sono le loro registrazioni radiofoniche e le collaborazioni con artisti quali i pianisti Alexander Lonquich e Petr Tengstrand, il violoncellista Andreas Brantelid, il cornista Felix Klieser, i Quartetti Modigliani e Jerusalem, l’ensemble Dreamers Circus. Significativa è altresì la collaborazione con alcuni importanti compositori danesi contemporanei, mettendo a fuoco in modo particolare i processi compositivi che stanno dietro le opere realizzate. La loro collaborazione con il compositore Mette Nielsen, ha prodotto il loro primo album nell'estate 2023 dal titolo “Frozen Moments”. Anche la musica jazz e pop trova spazio negli interessi generali della formazione. La loro recente collaborazione con il brand di moda “UNIQLO”, sottolinea il loro impegno all’esplorazione di innovative ed inaspettate intersezioni fra la musica e altre forme d’arte. L'impronta che caratterizza al meglio il Novo Quartet è il forte sentimento di amicizia che lega fra loro gli artisti, il senso reciproco di rispetto e di attenzione fra i componenti, il tutto riflesso nelle loro interpretazioni, caratterizzate da una profonda unitarietà di intenzioni e di emozioni. Nel 2025 il Novo Quartet è stato nominato New Generation Artists dalla BBC inglese per il biennio 2025/27, riconoscimento che consentirà loro di esibirsi in Inghilterra da soli e anche con le migliori orchestre della BBC .

The Trio Concept (formerly Trio Chagall) was born in 2013 from the union of three musicians from Turin: Edoardo Grieco(violin), Francesco Massimino (cello) and Lorenzo Nguyen(piano).

In October 2024, the group changed its name, inspired by the verses of Michelangelo Buonarroti, reflecting their artistic vision: to reveal the beauty enshrined in musical works.

The **Trio Concept** was named ECHO Rising Star for the 2025/2026 season and received the Prix Yves Paternot at the Verbier Festival 2024, the festival's highest honor.

In 2023, after triumphing in the final at London's Wigmore Hall, the Trio became YCAT Artist. The same year, it won first prize at the “Schoenfeld International Competition” in Harbin, China.

In Italy, it won second prize - with first not awarded - and three special prizes at the “Premio Trio di Trieste” in 2019, becoming the youngest chamber ensemble ever awarded in the competition's history.

The Trio has performed in prestigious halls, including Wigmore Hall (London), Verbier Festival, Konzerthaus (Berlin), Concertgebouw (Amsterdam) and Teatro La Fenice (Venice).Edoardo Grieco plays a 1766 Pietro Antonio Landolfi violin, while Francesco Massimino plays Gaetano Sgarabotto's “Reno Gold” cello (1948).

L’AVOS Chamber Orchestra nasce come estensione naturale dell’Avos Project – Scuola Internazionale di Musica con sede a Roma – e incarna la visione pedagogica e performativa dei suoi fondatori: Mario Montore, Riccardo Savinelli, Massimo Spada, David Romano, Mirei Yamada e Alessio Pianelli. L'ensemble si distingue per la sua struttura modulare, che consente la formazione di gruppi cameristici flessibili, dal duo al grande ensemble, in funzione del repertorio, del contesto performativo e delle esigenze progettuali.
Questa modularità non è solo un tratto tecnico, ma un principio fondante: l'orchestra è pensata come un organismo vivo, capace di rigenerarsi e riconfigurarsi attorno ai suoi membri, tutti musicisti di altissimo livello, provenienti da esperienze internazionali e spesso anche coinvolti come docenti e tutor nei percorsi formativi dell'Avos Project.

Il repertorio dell’AVOS Chamber Orchestra abbraccia un arco storico e stilistico ampio, spaziando dal barocco al contemporaneo, con particolare attenzione alla musica del Novecento e alla produzione di nuovi lavori. L’ensemble si distingue per la sua capacità di affrontare programmi tematici e trasversali, che mettono in dialogo epoche e linguaggi, e per la sua apertura alla commissione e prima esecuzione di opere originali, spesso nate in collaborazione con giovani compositori coinvolti nei percorsi formativi dell’Avos Project. Tra i progetti più significati si annoverano cicli dedicati alla musica da camera italiana del XX secolo, residenze creative con focus sulla drammaturgia musicale, e produzioni multidisciplinari che integrano musica, teatro e arti visive. La dimensione modulare dell’ensemble consente di realizzare progetti site-specific, adattabili a spazi e contesti diversi, favorendo la circolazione della musica colta in territori non convenzionali e la partecipazione attiva del pubblico.
