Daily Criticism and Communication space combined with the concerts, where you can put your narrative skills to the test and recount the festival with the help of CF staff and under the supervision of music critics.
In collaboration with the National Association of Music Critics
Every evening, the Classiche Forme program spotlights a wide range of repertoire, including both famous and emerging artists; But before each concert, starting this year, a new space for discussion, listening, and writing opens: Saletta stampa CF is a music criticism and communication workshop dedicated to those who want to observe music up close, talk about it, and practice doing so with the tools of the critic's trade.
Conceived and led by Floriana Tessitore (professional journalist, festival press office, and member of the National Association of Music Critics) with Carlo Fiore (member of the board of the National Association of Music Critics), the workshop is designed for ten young participants and takes place in eight daily meetings, divided into two cycles (Sunday, July 13th - Wednesday, July 16th / Thursday, July 17th - Sunday, July 20th).
Every day, the fundamental themes of music journalism, critical writing, and contemporary communication are addressed in a practical and dialogic manner. Along with the participants, there are also some The festival's guest critics—including Gabriella Fumarola, Virginia Lozito, Eraldo Martucci, Roberta Pedrotti, and Chiara Ribichini—share their professional experiences in the field.
Participants attend Classiche Forme concerts and write a review or story about what they've heard each day. The texts are read and commented on collectively the following day; the most successful ones will be published on the festival's official website and in partner online publications. During the workshop, any young musicians attending will be given sessions dedicated to how to present their career, create an effective biography, and use social media for musical communication.
